American Oil Wholesale carries SAE 0W-20 across twelve brands, fifteen products in all, and every single one is a full synthetic formulation. That is not true of any other passenger-car grade on our shelf: our 5W-20 and 5W-30 lineups both run conventional through full synthetic, but 0W-20 shows up in our catalog only at the top tier. One wholesale account at our Hialeah warehouse covers the full 0W-20 range, from the Thunder value line to Mobil 1.
This guide lists every 0W-20 SKU we carry, tier by tier, with pack sizes, so gas station and convenience store counters selling DIY oil-change customers, independent auto shops, and dealership service lanes servicing modern Honda, Toyota, and GM vehicles can stock the exact grade the owner's manual specifies.
What SAE 0W-20 Means
The two parts of "0W-20" are independent limits set by SAE International's SAE J300 engine oil viscosity classification, the standard the industry uses to define multigrade oil (SAE International, SAE J300). The "0W" is the winter rating: it caps cold-cranking viscosity at a maximum 6,200 mPa·s at -35°C and pumping viscosity at a maximum 60,000 mPa·s at -40°C, the lowest-temperature rating in our passenger-car lineup. The "20" is the hot-running grade: a kinematic viscosity window of 5.6 to under 9.3 mm²/s at 100°C, the thinnest grade we stock, matching 5W-20 at operating temperature. 0W-20 combines the coldest winter rating we carry with the thinnest hot-running grade.
Why Every 0W-20 Product We Stock Is Full Synthetic
0W-20's combination of a very low cold-cranking limit and a thin hot-running viscosity is difficult to hold with conventional or synthetic-blend base stocks across the full temperature range an engine sees, which is why every 0W-20 line on our shelf, house, featured, national, and value tier alike, ships as full synthetic. Automakers specify 0W-20 mainly on modern gasoline direct-injection and turbocharged four-cylinder engines with tighter internal tolerances, where a full synthetic base stock's more stable viscosity index and stronger resistance to thermal breakdown matter more than on an older, looser-tolerance design.
South Florida's climate does not need the "0W" cold-start protection this grade was engineered for, but that is not a reason to substitute a heavier oil. The grade a manufacturer specifies is matched to internal clearances and oil-pump calibration, not to the climate where the car is serviced; see our motor oil viscosity guide for tropical climates for the full case on why local heat is not a reason to run thicker than spec.
House Brand Tier: American Oil and Thunder
American Oil, our private-label house line, ships 0W-20 full synthetic by the 55-gallon drum and 275-gallon tote for shops pumping their own volume. Thunder, our value workhorse brand, covers the same grade in a 12/1-quart case.

| American Oil Full Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic | 55 Gal, 275 Gal | House-brand drum-to-tote bulk dispensing |
| Thunder Full Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic | 12/1 Qt | Value-brand full-synthetic case |
Featured Brand Tier: Prime Guard, Super S, and Starfire
Prime Guard spans case through tote in one formulation, Super S covers case, drum, and tote, and Starfire carries two distinct 0W-20 products: a standard full synthetic and a Dexos Gen 3-certified version for current GM vehicles.
| Product | Formulation | Pack Sizes | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Guard Full Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic | 6/1 Qt, 3/5 Qt, 55 Gal, 275 Gal | Case-to-tote brand consistency |
| Super S Full Synthetic Motor Oil SN SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic, API SN | 6/1 Qt, 55 Gal, 275 Gal | API SN-certified, brand recognized across the Caribbean |
| Starfire Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20 | Full Synthetic | 12/1 Qt | Value-priced modern spec |
| Starfire Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20 DEXOS GEN 3 | Full Synthetic, Dexos Gen 3 | 12/1 Qt | Current GM vehicles requiring Gen 3 |
National Brand Tier: Mobil, Mobil 1, Castrol, Pennzoil, and Motorcraft
Mobil lists two separate 0W-20 formulations, Mobil 1 adds a second entry with its ESP X2 line, and Motorcraft's 0W-20 is Ford's own factory-spec fill for the service lane.

Value Tier: TekStar and Duramax
TekStar covers the grade from case through tote at the sharpest price point, and Duramax's 0W-20 carries a Dexos1 Gen2 certification, a different dexos generation than Starfire's Gen 3 product above.
| Product | Formulation | Pack Sizes | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| TekStar Full Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic | 12/1 Qt, 55 Gal, 275 Gal | Value case-to-tote coverage |
| Duramax Full Synthetic Motor Oil XLT Dexos1 Gen2 SAE 0W-20 | Full Synthetic, Dexos1 Gen2 | 12/1 Qt | Older-generation dexos GM vehicles |
Two Dexos Generations in the Same Grade: Starfire and Duramax
Starfire's 0W-20 carries Dexos Gen 3, the current GM certification, while Duramax's 0W-20 carries the older Dexos1 Gen2 mark, and the two are not interchangeable for a vehicle whose manual specifies one or the other. A parts counter or dealership service lane stocking both under the 0W-20 grade needs to read the dexos mark on the bottle, not just the SAE viscosity, before it goes on the shelf assignment. Our GM dexos motor oil guide covers which generation each model year requires.
Buying 0W-20 Wholesale, by the Case, Drum, or Tote
Every SKU on this page ships from our Hialeah warehouse on the same invoice as the rest of your fluid order: coolant, ATF, DEF, gear oil, and brake fluid. Gas stations, auto shops, and dealership service lanes across Miami-Dade get next-day delivery, and Broward and Palm Beach ride the next scheduled route day. The $250 domestic minimum is easy to clear once a 0W-20 order rides with the rest of your fluids, and C.O.D. terms let a new account start simple.
If your ticket mix skews toward high-volume service work on modern gasoline direct-injection and turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the American Oil, Prime Guard, Super S, Mobil, Castrol, and TekStar drum and tote formats let you pump 0W-20 directly instead of breaking case after case. A single 275-gallon tote holds roughly the same volume as 55 five-gallon pails, so a shop running steady 0W-20 volume receives and stores one unit instead of dozens of smaller ones.
Stock the Modern Factory-Fill Grade
0W-20 is the thinnest, coldest-rated grade we stock, and every product we carry at this grade is full synthetic. Request a wholesale quote to confirm current availability by brand, dexos generation, and pack size, and add it to the same account as the rest of your fluid program.
