Mobilgard HSD Marine Diesel Engine Oil 20W-50 is an extra high performance, multigrade diesel engine oil from ExxonMobil, formulated for severe service high-speed diesel engines in marine applications. Its advanced chemistry controls oil thickening from soot build-up and high temperatures, resists oxidation, corrosion, and high temperature varnish deposits, and holds a stable oil film at all operating temperatures for reduced oil consumption and strong wear protection, with the extra film strength of a heavier 20W-50 grade for hot engine rooms and worn engines. With a 9 TBN reserve it protects engines running on low or high sulphur distillate fuel. It meets API CI-4 and is recommended for applications requiring API CF, CF-4, and CG-4, Cummins CES 20071 and 20072, and MAN M 3275-1, covering modern low-emission and older high-speed diesels such as Caterpillar 3500 Series and smaller bore, Cummins, Volvo, Daihatsu, and Yanmar engines.
